We deliver your vehicle of choice to your Hotel when renting for more than three(3) days in a row. Fuel The renter are solely obligated to return the vehicle with the same content of the tank as it was when recieved. Yes! It is safe to drive in Crete! We know - The question about the difficulty to drive when in Crete. But it is not that hard anyway, not if you consider some important things. First, -Yes there are drivers here that will drive very close to your back. And also perhaps do overturnings even if it is not legal, but that also happens in all European countries and not only in Greece, specificaly on Crete island. There are some things you must have in mind driving in Crete and especially in and outside small towns. -Locals will more often drive a Pick-up truck and sometimes they might be overloaded with cargo, therefore they drive slow and under the speedlimit. -Crossing double lines on the road are not a good idea, but you will see that the majority of cretan drivers will do so anyway. -Entering a circulation roundabout, cars already in the circulation ring have to let traffic entering from the right to drive first into the circulation, before you can turn right out of the circulation ring. -The use of Turningsignal lights are not often used in traffic and can sometimes cause confusion, but keep distance and always focus on the car infront of you and their breaklights (Keep a distance to the car infront of you). -Yes, The fast drivers are everywhere on the Island, and now and then you will have them pulling up behind close to your vehicle stressing to go around you. However, keep to the speedlimit and let them go around you. -After rain the roads are very, very slippery and can be dangerous.
